Well, 2006 is slowly drawing to a close and what better time for us to start thinking about 2007?

So this blog is going to be our first new development in the New Year.

Never slow to embrace new technology, both on the boats and on the web, we thought this might be a great addition to Lochaber Watersports.

We'd like all our visitors to post here about their experiences sailing in Scotland - and it doesn't even matter if you sailed with us or not.

We welcome all your comments. We hope this will become a resource for anyone thinking about learning to sail or in chartering a yacht in the Lochaber area.

This blog is a great idea! The watersports centre is in a lovely part of the UK - a perfect place for sailing. It will be interesting to read more blogs from those who visit.

'Chester' wanted more comments. Haven't used a blog before but here goes:-

Great week on Fantom from 4-11 August 2007. Left Lochaber Water Sports on Sunday to Kerrera in soft, gentle (but still very wetting) rain - but a great day. Monday very wet on Kerrera so stayed there, apart from the free ferry ride to Oban and the free exhilerating ride back in the RIB. From Tuesday onwards we had wonderful sunshine and a great time down the Sound of Kerrera and around islands etc. then through Cuan Sound to Shuna and eventually Balvicar (on Seil Island), a very pleasant mooring as long as a bouy is available (check with Mike first). A great sail along the coast of Mull and then Lismore, finally a stay in Loch Creran at Barcaldine (lots of moorings) before returning to Ballachulish.

Fantom was very comfortable and behaved brilliantly. the sun shone most of the time, good sailing, good anchoring and anchorages, everyone very helpful and friendly - what more could you want?

Will I do it again - you bet!!
